
Datum Point is a new and innovative production company that hopes to capitalise on the wealth of talent within the television, theatre and film industry.
Established in 2010 by Blythe Duff, the company produced the short film ‘Sarajevo’ and the theatre piece ‘Just Checking’.
Having direct access to producers, writers, directors, actors, composers, designers, directors of photography, sound and camera operators, the company are strategically placed and committed to producing high quality product.
Datum Point is delighted to announce the companies first short film Sarajevo, will have it’s premiere at the 65th Edinburgh International Film Festival. It will be shown on 23rd June as part of the Nokia Shorts Weekend.

Blythe is looking forward to being Chieftain at this years Cowal Highland Gathering on Sat. 27th August. Saturday will be the culmination of the popular three day event, where the finest Scottish Pipers and Dancers will compete. Blythe will be on hand to congratulate the participants and is looking forward to the march past and salute of the massed Pipe bands.

The Lord Provost of Glasgow announced his designated charity for this year - Glasgow Humane Society - The riverman appeal. Blythe was on hand in George Square to help George Parsonage - the life long ‘heart’ of the charity - launch the appeal for £100,000.00.

On the 30th June, Blythe was delighted to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the Principal, Vice Principal and Senate of Caledonian University for her contribution to the Arts. Blythe was proud to share the morning ceremony with the wonderful musician Michael Marra. Blythe looks forward to forging links with Datum Point and the Caledonian University students.

Just announced the nominations for a CATS 2011 (Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland) Blythe has been nominated for best female actor, for her performance as Helen Hughes in the David Harrower play Good With People. The play was produced in Sept 2010 by Oran Mor for the ‘A Play A Pie and a Pint‘ season and was a joint production with the English based company Paines Plough. The winners will be announced in an awards ceremony at the Festival theatre on 12th June
